The OCS’s Wholesale and OCS.ca selling prices will now be calculated under a cost-plus framework, using a fixed markup rate for each product subcategory. All products within each subcategory will have the same markup rate applied.

To calculate the Wholesale Price, the fixed markup rate for the subcategory is applied above the Landed Cost, which is determined by each Licensed Producer.
To calculate the OCS.ca price, a flat 39% markup is applied to the Wholesale Price for cannabis products and a 90% markup is applied for accessories. The sales tax (HST) is then applied, and the final price is rounded up to the nearest $0.05.
As per the schedule below, we will be collecting any changes Licensed Producers would like to make to the Landed Cost for existing products or products accepted in the Summer 2023 Product Call to align with the new markup framework.
Wholesale and OCS.ca prices are calculated based on the submitted Landed Cost. A pricing calculator has been created to support Licensed Producers’ review of their submitted costs. Please submit any Landed Cost changes according to the deadline listed.
